    Rod Stafford, W6ROD

IARU-Working for Amateur Radio Worldwide

Talk description:   Rod will share his insights into the work done by the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) both at the regional level and with the International Telecommunications Union, and how that work affects us all as radio amateurs.

Biography:   Rod Stafford W6ROD has been licensed for nearly forty years. He has served as an ARRL Section Manager, Division Director, Vice President, President. His service to the League includes ten years as Vice President for International Affairs. Since 1998 Rod has been involved with the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU), an organization of over 160 national Amateur Radio societies from around the world. He is a former Director and President of IARU Region 2 and currently serves as Secretary of the IARU worldwide. Along with being an active Ham, Rod is a retired Superior Court Judge and an accomplished photographer.
